Are you a resume writing service?

No. We believe that YOU are the best person to understand and explain your work history. Even though we do not write resumes from scratch,  we will work with you to ensure that your resume is telling the story you want.  

If you don't write resumes, what do you do for your clients?

Other resume companies focus only on the document itself. We know that at the end of the day, you are a lot more than a piece of paper. Success does not simply mean getting an interview, but being ready for that conversation. We offer several unique services to assist our clients reach for their individual goals. These can include:

• One-on-one sessions regarding your job search.
• A comprehensive review of your resume. Not only for normal spelling and grammar issues, but also for context and clarity. 
• A review of your overall job search strategy. 
• Practice sessions for different types of interview and networking situations.

I am not sure I understand what you mean by context and clarity.

Wouldn't it be great if you only needed to have one version of your resume for every type of career opportunity? Unfortunately, having a standardized resume is not the most practical or effective method to help you highlight how you will bring value to each potential employer. Remember, you need to both know your audience's needs and how you will help them solve issues that they may not have even considered yet. This allows you to highlight your unique potential value for each position. 

Do you provide CV services?

No. Unfortunately we do not provide specific CV-related services at this time.

In addition, while there are nuances specific to each industry, a solid career strategy is often applicable no matter where you are headed. 

Are there specific types of candidates you specialize in?

We welcome clients no matter what their level of career experience. We have experience working with individuals of all ages, races, and creeds. 

Our packages are designed to meet the variety of needs that we typically see. However, we do have some additional expertise in working with the following types of clients:

• Post-graduate and limited career experience (those with less than 10 years of job history). 
• Pre-retirement and extended experience (those from their late 50s-70s and those who have not been active in the job market for 7+ years).
• Non-native English-speakers.

What can I use my sessions for?

Depending on where you are in your job search, there are many productive ways to use our time together. Typically we suggest our clients use these sessions to: 

• Perfect their "Elevator Pitch".
• Practice interview questions that are specifically difficult for them to answer (examples might be gaps in work history, alternate industries, etc.) .
• Review their current progress and networking tactics.

Does my package have an expiration date?

Yes. We want your experience with us to be a positive "jumpstart" to your job search. The best way for us to work with you and to maximize that impact is to concentrate our efforts within a given time period. From experience we have typically seen this to be anywhere from 30 to 45 days. But we also know that you have other things in your life as well. So we have put the expiration for our packages at 60 days. 

What hours are you available?

Life is busy. So we have tried to make ourselves accessible to both our employed and unemployed clients. We typically are available for scheduled sessions and appointments Monday- Saturday, from 7 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time. If you need a time outside of these hours, we may be able to accommodate you depending on the circumstances.

What type of Video Chat do you use? 

We currently use the web-conference service GoToMeeting. This service provides us with the flexibility to tailor our sessions to you, all while minimizing any technology hurdles. We recommend familiarizing yourself with their system before our first session. There is nothing you need to buy!

There are several ways to join our sessions including:

• Apps for your mobile device .
• A desktop application that you can download.
• Or directly through your browser. (If you are connecting through a browser, we recommend using Chrome. )

What is your 90-day Interview Guarantee?

We like to keep things as simple as possible, including this guarantee. After completing our work together, if you are not completely satisfied with our services OR you do not receive an interview (phone,  in-person, etc.) within 90 days of your purchase, then we will make it right or provide you with a full refund. 

Do you offer express service?

Yes. We offer an express service to our Bronze Package for an additional fee. Because we start each client relationship with an introductory session, the exact turnaround time is based off the completion of that call. 

I have been in-between jobs for a while and I am not sure that I can afford your services. Do you have any discounts available?

We run several promotions throughout the year. Please check our Facebook Page for any current promotions.
